Applications

The IRSphinx devices support many industrial fluid applications both in-line and at-line.

Some of the market applications are Oil condition monitoring, fuel analysis, food industry analysis, healthcare and chemical industry.

These devices allow rapid or real-time measurement, eliminating lengthy cycle times from laboratory analysis.

The Lab In Box is a truly portable solution for sampling and brings the laboratory into the field. The lab In Box is used for our FAME, Gasoline and Oil in water analysers.

The IRSphinx Transmission is thermally stabilised and fits into the fieldkit that contains an internal cooling system and integrated pc/software.

Like all our products, these devices are robust and contain no moving parts with minimal intervention for maintenance. Perfect for industrial applications.

Measurements

IRSphinx ATR – The IRSphinx ATR spectrometer uses Attenuated Total Reflectance to record a spectrum whereby the sample is placed on the crystal surface and cleaned after measurement. The IRSphinx ATR spectrometer is available in industrial (thermally stabilised) and portable (Bluetooth) models that require link to an external tablet or PC or as part of the Lab-In-Box where the ATR and tablet come integrated within a battery powered briefcase system.

IR Sphinx Transmission – The IRSphinx Transmission is an in-line device that can be a stand-alone or as part of the fieldkit. The Device uses the Transmission principle and contains a flow cell that can be tailored to different pathlengths depending on the application.

Whether the device is Transmission or ATR based they are available in wavelength ranges from 2.5-5um and 5.5-11.0um. The spectral resolution is between 18-36cm-1 and all products run from our proprietary software and measurements can be made by the user or with automated procedure in under 2 minutes.

Fieldkit – The fieldkit provides a secure and rugged environment to use the  IRSphinx Transmission Industrial spectrometer for inline measurements. The fieldkit can be customised to suit the customers’ requirements with the addition of various control and measurement instrumentation.
